Primary SEN Leadership Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate SENDCo to join Wayman Learning Trust, a diverse and inclusive primary school in Southwark. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in managing SEN provision across the school ensuring that students with special educational needs receive the support and guidance they require.

This is a full-time permanent position that requires the candidate to lead the SEN team and coordinate support for students with additional needs. The salary for this role is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the SEN provision across the school developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress.
  • Supporting and training staff on best practices for teaching children with special educational needs.
  • Collaborating with parents, teachers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the SEN team promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • A qualified SENDCo with the National Award for SEN Coordination or working towards it.
  • Strong experience in SEN leadership within a primary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • A clear DBS check and legal right to work within the UK.
