Job Summary

This role is for a Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Activity Coordinator to work in the Brainbow Service, assisting in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy related duties across Paediatric Inpatient and Outpatient settings. The aim is to increase, diversify and encourage physical and daily activity for children and young people with brain tumours during treatment and beyond.

About the Brainbow Service

The Brainbow Service was founded in 2013 as the first dedicated Neuro-Oncology rehabilitation service in the UK. The service was established by local East of England charities, founded by the parents of children with brain tumours. The aim of the service is to ensure that all children with Brain Tumours reach their full potential.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will assist in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy related duties for children with brain tumours in the Brainbow Service, as directed by, and under the supervision of a qualified Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist across Paediatric Inpatient and Outpatient settings.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a good general education to GCSE or equivalent, including evidence of literacy and numeracy skills. They will also be willing to undertake relevant training. Experience in dealing with members of the public and accepting responsibility for own work is essential. Desirable qualifications include evidence of achievement of relevant training relating to child development, healthcare, education and/or rehabilitation.
