Children's Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Cambridge. As a key member of our Community Occupational Therapy Service, you will play a vital role in delivering holistic care and therapy to children and young people.
Main Responsibilities:- Work as part of the Occupational Therapy team, undertaking specific work independently as identified by registered Occupational Therapy staff.
- Accept patients referred by the Occupational Therapist and carry your own caseload.
- Conduct assessments, treatment, and discharge planning for patients under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
- Deliver Occupational Therapy programmes to children with varied needs, based on information gathered, interests, and goals.
- Foundation Degree in Clinical Assistant Practice or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience of working with children, young people, and families or within the Occupational Therapy service.
- Awareness of child development and the OT role within the service.
- Experience of working in the community.
