Housing Revenue Accountant Opportunity

About the Role

This is a specialist role focused on revenue accounting within the housing sector. The ideal candidate will have expertise in this area and be seeking a good work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business partnering with non-finance stakeholders to drive financial performance
  • Preparation and monitoring of monthly budget monitoring reports to ensure financial accuracy
  • Providing financial advice and producing financial and management reports to support business decisions
  • Completion of grant claims and statistical returns to meet regulatory requirements
  • Providing financial advice and support, as well as owning ad-hoc projects to drive business growth
  • Authorizing reports for financial implications to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Opportunity to take ownership of the revenue accounting aspects of the finance team to drive process improvements

What You'll Need to Succeed

Prior experience of Housing Revenue, ideally gained in a local government or housing provider organization. Fully CCAB qualified or qualified by experience with housing revenue experience is highly desirable.

What You'll Get in Return

Salary band £42-48k, excellent additional benefits, including a good holiday entitlement and pension contribution on top of salary. High element of home working available, with an expectation of approx 2 to 4 days a month in office, once established in role. Modern and easily accessible offices to work from, when required.
