Join Our Team as a Housing Revenue Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Revenue Accountant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a specialist in revenue accounting, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in the housing sector.

About the Role

This is a specialist role focused on revenue accounting, within the housing sector. You will be responsible for:

  • Business partnering with non-finance stakeholders to provide financial advice and support
  • Preparation and monitoring of monthly budget monitoring reports to ensure financial stability
  • Providing financial advice, producing financial and management reports to inform business decisions
  • Completion of grant claims and statistical returns to ensure compliance
  • Providing financial advice and support, as well as owning ad-hoc projects to drive business growth
  • Authorising reports for financial implications to ensure accurate decision-making
  • Opportunity to take ownership of the revenue accounting aspects of the finance team to drive innovation
What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience of Housing Revenue, ideally gained in a local government or housing provider organisation
  • Fully CCAB qualified, or qualified by experience with housing revenue experience
  • Excellent business partnering skills to build internal relationships with non-finance staff and leadership teams
