About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Revenue Accountant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a specialist in revenue accounting, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in the housing sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with non-finance stakeholders to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
  • Prepare and monitor monthly budget reports to ensure accurate financial forecasting.
  • Provide expert financial advice and produce high-quality financial and management reports.
  • Manage grant claims and statistical returns to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Offer financial guidance and support, taking ownership of ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Authorize reports for financial implications, ensuring timely and accurate decision-making.
  • Take ownership of the revenue accounting aspects of the finance team, driving process improvements and best practices.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in Housing Revenue, ideally gained in a local government or housing provider organization.
  • Full CCAB qualification or equivalent experience, with a strong background in housing revenue.
  • Excellent business partnering skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with non-finance staff and leadership teams.
