About the Role

Your new employer is a stable and financially secure public sector organization with a solid finance function and leadership team. This specialist role is focused on revenue accounting within the housing sector, ideal for an individual with expertise in this area seeking a good work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business partnering with non-finance stakeholders to drive financial performance and growth.
  • Preparation and monitoring of monthly budget monitoring reports to ensure accurate financial forecasting.
  • Providing financial advice and producing financial and management reports to inform business decisions.
  • Completion of grant claims and statistical returns to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Offering financial advice and support, as well as owning ad-hoc projects to drive business improvement.
  • Authorizing reports for financial implications to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of the revenue accounting aspects of the finance team, driving process improvement and efficiency.
Requirements

Prior experience of Housing Revenue, ideally gained in a local government or housing provider organization. Ideally fully CCAB qualified, applications are also welcomed from qualified by experience candidates with housing revenue experience. A good element of business partnering in this role, so suitable applicants will enjoy building internal relationships with non-finance staff and leadership teams.
