Join Our Team as a Housing Revenue Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Revenue Accountant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a specialist in revenue accounting, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in the housing sector.

About the Role

This is a specialist role focused on revenue accounting, within the housing sector. You will be responsible for business partnering with non-finance stakeholders, preparing and monitoring monthly budget monitoring reports, providing financial advice, and completing grant claims and statistical returns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business partnering with non-finance stakeholders to provide financial guidance and support
  • Preparation and monitoring of monthly budget monitoring reports to ensure accurate financial information
  • Providing financial advice and producing financial and management reports to inform business decisions
  • Completion of grant claims and statistical returns to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Providing financial advice and support, as well as owning ad-hoc projects to drive business growth
  • Authorising reports for financial implications to ensure accurate and timely decision-making
  • Opportunity to take ownership of the revenue accounting aspects of the finance team to drive process improvements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need prior experience of Housing Revenue, ideally gained in a local government or housing provider organisation. Ideally, you will be fully CCAB qualified, but applications are also welcomed from qualified by experience candidates with housing revenue experience.

We offer a competitive salary band of £42-48k, excellent additional benefits, and a good holiday entitlement and pension contribution on top of salary. You will also have a high element of home working available, with an expectation of approx 2 to 4 days a month in office, once established in role.
