We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Systems Specialist to join our team at Network IT Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a pivotal role in scaling, maintaining, and managing our infrastructure and cloud environment with a focus on security.

This opportunity would be ideal for someone looking to work closely with decision-makers and stakeholders to drive improvements and new solutions. You will have the opportunity to work with a global business that is investing heavily in its IT estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of our core IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Lead and contribute to infrastructure projects from design through to implementation, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
  • Implement and manage cloud infrastructure, particularly within Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. Ensure robust security practices are in place and adhered to.
  • Manage and optimize network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and routers to ensure secure and efficient operations.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to key stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all systems, processes, and procedures.

Ideal Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing and maintaining servers, storage, and virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure, including deployments, migrations, and management.
  • A deep understanding of security best practices, including network security, endpoint protection, and identity management.
  • Solid experience with network infrastructure management (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPN, VLANs).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead infrastructure projects from inception to completion, delivering on time and within budget.
  • Ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, presenting ideas and solutions clearly and confidently.
