Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team at Network IT Recruitment Limited as an AV Infrastructure Engineer. This is a pivotal role that requires a strong background in managing and maintaining complex IT infrastructure, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading infrastructure projects from design through to implementation, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments. They will also have expertise in implementing and managing cloud infrastructure, particularly within Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, ensuring robust security practices are in place and adhered to.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and optimization of our core IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and virtual environments. They will also be responsible for managing and optimizing network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and routers to ensure secure and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of our core IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Implement and manage cloud infrastructure, particularly within Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, ensuring robust security practices are in place and adhered to.
  • Network Infrastructure: Manage and optimize network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and routers to ensure secure and efficient operations.
  • Technical Advisory: Serve as a technical advisor to key stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all systems, processes, and procedures.

Ideal Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing and maintaining servers, storage, and virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure, including deployments, migrations, and management.
  • A deep understanding of security best practices, including network security, endpoint protection, and identity management.
  • Solid experience with network infrastructure management (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPN, Vlans).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead infrastructure projects from inception to completion, delivering on time and within budget.
  • Ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, presenting ideas and solutions clearly and confidently.
