Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at JD Sports. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems and pipelines in a cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement data pipelines using a range of tools and technologies, including Python, SQL, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure data systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Investigate and utilize machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to improve data quality and accuracy.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our data systems remain competitive and efficient.
Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of experience in cloud data solutions, with a strong focus on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, and cloud-based platforms, including AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, and Azure Functions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
