About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at JD Sports. As a key member of our Data Quality and Intelligence team, you will play a critical role in delivering a comprehensive view of our database health and data quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Health and Data Quality: Assist the DQ&I Manager in delivering a view of the health of key databases with an accompanying suite of dashboards and alerts.
  • Data Review and Analysis: Assist in the review of internal data quality in our key databases (internal transactional + Google Analytics) to ensure that the data we have is fit for purpose.
  • Project Delivery: Help with the delivery of long-term projects and lead the delivery of short-term projects.
  • Data Feed Management: Ensure that the data feeds we have with our marketing partner Redeye operate as intended.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Excellent understanding of TSQL/PLSQL, including creation of procedures and views. Strong MS Office experience. Knowledge of PowerBI. Knowledge of Python is desirable.
  • Management Experience: Management experience is desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Good stakeholder communication skills.
