About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at JD Sports. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of our cloud-based data environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data pipelines within a cloud-based environment, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Source and verify data using various methods, including data wrangling and data quality checks.
  • Develop and maintain large-scale data sets using tools such as Python and SQL.
  • Set up new pipelines for data stream, enrichment, and curation processes.
  • Investigate and utilize machine learning and artificial intelligence to improve our cloud offering.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in cloud data solutions, with a strong understanding of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with AI/ML and PySpark coding or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
