About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at a Primary School in Bootle, Liverpool. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

The successful candidate will work closely with the school's staff to reduce levels of unauthorised absence and improve attendance and behaviour. You will be responsible for developing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model, and providing individual pastoral support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties
  • Develop and implement structured learning activities and programmes
  • Work closely with school staff to improve attendance and behaviour
  • Provide individual pastoral support to pupils
Requirements
  • Prior experience working with Special Educational Needs
  • Experience supporting or assisting children with behaviour aged 4-11
  • Ability to develop good relationships with pupils
  • Safeguarding knowledge or training, level 1 or above
