Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a part-time Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at a Primary School with an SEN unit in Liverpool. The role involves working as a behaviour mentor, supporting children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and undertaking structured learning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties
- Undertake structured learning activities and programmes, both 1-2-1 and small group basis
- Work alongside key school staff to reduce levels of unauthorised absence and improve attendance and behaviour
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with Special Educational Needs
- Experience supporting or assisting children with behaviour aged 4-11
- The ability to develop good relationships with pupils
- Safeguarding knowledge or training, level 1 or above
