Job Title: Personal Assistant and Office Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and efficient Personal Assistant and Office Manager to provide administrative support to the Principal and manage the school's administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide effective and efficient support to the Principal in all aspects of their role.
- To manage the administrative functions in the school, including receptionist, administration, and reprographics.
- Responsible for receipt, prioritization, and forwarding of the Principal's incoming communications, including vetting of incoming calls for the Principal.
- Management of the Principal's diary.
- Confidential admin support for the Principal and Vice Principals.
- Line management of school administration staff, including performance management.
- Clerking School Council meetings, including preparation of agendas, minute taking, and managing governor appointments and terms of office.
Requirements:
- GCSE English and Maths at a Grade C or higher, or equivalent.
- Relevant Level 3 qualification, for example in Business Admin.
- Experience of working in a PA role (or suitable administrative experience).
- Experience of leading, managing, and motivating staff and providing clear vision and direction.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of audiences, verbally and in writing, with the ability to gain credibility at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to use standard ICT packages, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to relate to students in a pleasant and sympathetic manner and to recognise potential child safeguarding issues.
- An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or the willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
