About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Support Worker to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional and practical support to patients and their families, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Help patients with their daily needs, including mobility and personal care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Good general education and basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Willingness to undertake NVQ level 2 in a care-related area.
  • Previous experience of working with the general public, preferably in a care environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, with good basic hygiene skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
