Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities

As a Clinical Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and staff. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting healthcare professionals with patient care and treatment
  • Providing emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families
  • Helping to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
  • Assisting with administrative tasks and documentation
Person SpecificationEducation and Qualifications
  • Good general education - basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Willingness to undertake NVQ level 2 in care related area
  • Willingness to undertake NVQ level 3 in care related area
  • Completed Trust Support Worker Programme
  • ECDL or equivalent
Experience
  • Previous experience of working with the general public
  • Previous experience of working with patients in a care environment
Skills, Ability and Knowledge
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (to understand and be understood)
  • Good basic hygiene skills
  • Ability to follow clear instructions and provide feedback to senior staff
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative or with minimal supervision
