Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Performance Engineer to join our team in Cambridge, UK. This role combines research, engineering, and performance analysis, working with open-source and in-house tools.

About the Role

This is a key position in our dynamic performance modelling team at imec's center of excellence for hardware-software-technology co-design. You will lead efforts in the design, development, validation, and analysis of performance models for high-performance compute and memory systems.

As a member of this team, you will work closely with architects, software, and process technology teams to simulate and evaluate system level performance and power. Your expertise in performance and power modelling, simulation, and analysis of complex hardware systems will be invaluable in driving system and component level modelling of proposed architectures.

You will analyse results, validate models with our performance analysis team, work with software teams to map and simulate software workloads on the platforms, and take an active part in gathering and analysing data to present the results from the performance modelling platforms.
