Hardware Modeling Engineer

Job Description Summary
We are looking for an experienced Performance Modelling Engineer to join our team at imec's center of excellence for hardware-software-technology co-design in Cambridge, UK. The role involves leading efforts in the design, development, validation, and analysis of performance models for high-performance compute and memory systems.
Primary Responsibilities- Develop and implement performance models for complex hardware systems.
- Work closely with architects, software, and process technology teams to simulate and evaluate system-level performance and power.
- Drive system and component-level modeling of proposed architectures.
- Analyze results and validate models with our performance analysis team.
- Profile simulator performance and scalability.
- Gather and analyze data to present the results from the performance modeling platforms.
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of industry experience in performance modeling.
- Extensive experience in performance and power modeling, simulation, and analysis of complex hardware systems.
- Strong knowledge of computer architecture and microarchitecture.
- Proficiency in C++, SystemC, Python or similar programming languages.
- Effective communication skills in English.
