Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Development Engineer to join our team in Cambridge, UK. As a key member of our System IP team, you will be responsible for developing complex and highly configurable hardware IP that sits at the heart of Arm-based systems.

This is a fast-paced technical role employing the latest hardware design methodologies. You will work with a talented team of engineers to develop innovative solutions to challenging problems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in digital circuit design and experience with advanced development tools such as SystemVerilog, Verilog, and VHDL.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse proposed specifications to understand implementation challenges and opportunities, working with architects to improve and refine ideas
  • Plan, track and coordinate tasks for yourself and your team
  • Work with modelling, verification, performance analysis and back-end implementation colleagues to ensure design meets all functional and performance requirements
  • Improve design methodology to meet evolving needs
Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Demonstration of a strong delivery record of high-quality, low-power, high-performance sophisticated micro-architecture and RTL design using System Verilog, Verilog or VHDL in reasonable timescales
  • Ability to navigate and make high-level design trade-offs and articulate rationale for those choices
  • Knowledgeable on ASIC (or FPGA) design methodology, IP signoff methods with deep understanding on timing/area/complexity trade-offs for complex data path designs
Estimated Salary

£110,000 - £140,000 per annum, depending on experience
