As a Lead Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for leading our team of carers, providing exceptional care to our residents, and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
The Role
- Lead and motivate our team of carers, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
- Conduct regular spot checks, competencies, and supervisions to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
- Case manage residents, liaise with families and healthcare professionals, and update care plans to ensure individualized care.
- Develop and implement medication management systems, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
- Carry out risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate risks.
- Provide exceptional care to our residents when cover is needed, demonstrating a commitment to person-centered care.
- Support the development of our team members, providing opportunities for career growth and professional development.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure policies and procedures are up-to-date and adhered to.
About You
- You will be a kind and compassionate individual, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
- You will be well-organized, IT literate, and confident in managing and delegating work.
- NVQ Level 3 in health and social care is desirable, but not essential.
- You will have proven ability to lead and supervise others, with a good understanding of care and care planning.
- You will be experienced in medication management and proactive in your approach to caring for our residents.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
Experience:
- Providing care: 1 year (preferred)
- Supervisory: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
Work Location: In person
