Executive Director of Leisure Operations

Leisure People is seeking an experienced Executive Director of Leisure Operations to lead our premium leisure and hospitality business in Central London. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for the overall operation and management of our high-profile leisure attraction, including a penthouse, several cocktail-led bars, and a comprehensive high-end street food style offering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Ensure high-performing operational management and financial efficiency of the venue and attractions.
  • Revenue Generation: Maximise on-site secondary revenue generation and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure efficient customer throughput, maintenance of customer service, experiential, and cleanliness standards.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, deploy, motivate, and lead a senior management team of 5 and large teams of front-line staff.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to deliver a targeted and seasonal plan throughout the year.
  • Business Development: Achieve group and corporate bookings targets, run timely and appropriate promotions.
  • Partnerships: Manage key partnerships and stakeholders, including the local media.
  • Performance Analysis: Provide timely and accurate performance information, including daily sales reports for all departments.
  • Operations Optimisation: Collect, analyse, and present data and insights to suggest revenue-enhancing alterations to operations, including opening hours, programming, and pricing.
  • Food and Beverage Management: Ensure food & beverage operations achieve targets for margins, stock, and waste management.
  • Budget Management: Optimise and deliver budgets across multiple cost lines - staffing, marketing, consumables.
  • Health and Safety: Monitor and provide feedback on the operation of ticketing and POS systems, and overall responsibility for health and safety throughout the venue.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven track record in Central London managing a large premium leisure or hospitality business, visitor attraction, theatre, or entertainment venue.
  • Leadership: Exceptional attention to detail and extremely high standards.
  • Team Management: Passion and flair for developing and coaching your team at all levels.
