Job Title: General Manager, Community

At 279 University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking an exceptional General Manager, Community to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the designated Directorate and its associated workforce and services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide operational leadership and management to the designated Directorate, promoting effective governance and ensuring the highest standard of clinical care is delivered. They will be responsible for ensuring all clinical and non-clinical performance indicators, targets, and objectives are met in line with national and local standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in partnership with other members of the Divisional Management Team to promote effective governance and ensure the highest standard of clinical care is delivered.
  • Contribute to the development, delivery, and translation of Divisional and Trust clinical service strategies, corporate, and divisional objectives.
  • Take a lead role in ensuring that quality, performance, CIP, and budgetary targets are monitored and improvement plans are devised and implemented where necessary.
  • Work with the Divisional Management Team to develop effective multi-agency partnerships and local integrated management arrangements with primary care, other NHS providers, ICS, Social Care Services, and other local stakeholders.
