Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Operations at 279 University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the Trust's leadership team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the services within the directorate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in and work collaboratively with other Trust general managers to manage operational demand and activity.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Directorate, Divisional and Trust service strategies and objectives.
- Deliver performance standards, service improvements and efficiencies that enhance patient care and improve patient pathways.
- Ensure the delivery of operational standards, quality, performance and financial balance.
- Act with the agreement and authority of the Divisional Director of Operations to ensure the Directorate functions successfully as an autonomous business unit.
- Be accountable for the performance and management of Directorate resources in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and review business and service performance at all levels, across all dimensions of care and delivery.
- Identify new business opportunities and actively take these forwards with the Directorate team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a healthcare organization.
- Strong business acumen and ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
