Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the services within the directorate, ensuring seamless collaboration with other Trust general managers to manage operational demand and activity.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Directorate, Divisional, and Trust service strategies and objectives, focusing on delivering performance standards, service improvements, and efficiencies that enhance patient care and improve patient pathways.
- Ensure the delivery of operational standards, quality, performance, and financial balance, working closely with stakeholders to achieve these goals.
- Act with the agreement and authority of the Divisional Director of Operations to ensure the Directorate functions successfully as an autonomous business unit.
- Be accountable for the performance and management of Directorate resources, providing operational and strategic business planning and leadership to ensure the provision of high-quality patient care.
- Monitor and review business and service performance at all levels, across all dimensions of care and delivery, reporting on performance, taking remedial action as required, and suggesting improvements and proposing new ways of working.
- Identify new business opportunities and actively take these forward with the Directorate team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering results and improving performance.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
