Job Description

Job Title: Executive Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Executive Director to join our team at Lawrence Weston Community Farm. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic and day-to-day running of the farm, working closely with our Trustees to deliver our three-year business plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Provide supportive leadership to the staff team, ensuring the effective governance, accountability, and compliance with legal and policy requirements.
  • Business Development: Set priorities for fundraising, ensuring a stable financial base to increase income from community business activities.
  • Financial Management: Oversee and ensure robust financial management, including budgeting and reporting.
  • Partnership and Networking: Develop new strategic initiatives, partnership work, and networking opportunities to support the farm's charitable aims and objectives.
  • Sustainability and Equality: Continue our commitment to equality, accessibility, and sustainability in all aspects of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Highly motivated and experienced leader with a strong track record in management and business development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, Trustees, and external partners.
  • Strong financial management skills, with experience of budgeting and reporting.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans, with a focus on sustainability and equality.
