Bristol Charities is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial fundraising professional to lead their fundraising and communications strategy. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising and will be able to build a fundraising function from scratch.

The Director of Fundraising will play a key role in the Senior Leadership Team and will be responsible for creating, developing and implementing fundraising plans to support delivery of all projects and programmes.

The ideal candidate will have extensive fundraising experience, relevant professional qualifications, and leadership skills. They will be able to manage relationships with key stakeholders, colleagues and Trustees to deliver fundraising and marketing objectives.

The role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of the charity and secure the resources to deliver sustainable growth in the work and impact of the charity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of fundraising plans to support delivery of all projects and programmes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, colleagues and Trustees to deliver fundraising and marketing objectives.
  • Manage a small but growing communications function and align fundraising and communications strategies and activity.
  • Develop and implement a fundraising strategy that meets the charity's income objectives.
Requirements
  • Extensive fundraising experience in a compatible context.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or qualified through experience.
  • Leadership at a senior executive level with experience of managing relationships with key stakeholders, colleagues and Trustees.
