About the RoleThis is an exciting new role that will play a crucial part in shaping the future of the charity. The Director of Fundraising will report directly to the CEO and will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. The role will involve leading a small but growing communications function and overseeing fundraising efforts to secure the resources needed for sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the charity's mission and objectives
- Lead a team of fundraising professionals to achieve income targets and grow the charity's fundraising capacity
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, trustees, and partners
- Collaborate with the communications team to develop and implement a communications strategy that supports fundraising efforts
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising activities and make recommendations for improvement
- Extensive fundraising experience in a compatible context, specifically across key areas of income generation
- Relevant professional qualifications or qualified through experience (either fundraising or communications)
- Leadership at a senior executive level with experience of managing relationships with key stakeholders, colleagues, and trustees to deliver fundraising and marketing objectives
