Director of Fundraising & Communications

Bristol Charities is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to lead their development efforts and oversee the growth of their communications function. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing fundraising plans to support the delivery of all projects and programs.

About the Role:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure resources for sustainable growth and impact.
  • Lead the development of a communications function that aligns with fundraising goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, colleagues, and Trustees to deliver fundraising and marketing objectives.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to set the direction for the charity and tackle strategic challenges.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • Extensive fundraising experience in a compatible context, specifically across key areas of income generation.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or qualified through experience (either fundraising or communications).
  • Leadership at a senior executive level with experience of managing relationships with key stakeholders, colleagues, and Trustees to deliver fundraising and marketing objectives.
