Job Description

Role Overview

The Director of Fundraising and Communications will play a crucial part in shaping the future of a leading charity, securing resources to deliver sustainable growth, and promoting a partnership approach. This is an exciting new role that will involve building a fundraising function from scratch and leading on the fundraising and communications strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve income objectives.
  • Lead partnerships with funders, driving income growth and securing new funding relationships.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, colleagues, and Trustees to deliver fundraising and marketing objectives.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a communications strategy to promote the charity's work and impact.

Requirements

  • Extensive fundraising experience in a compatible context, specifically across key areas of income generation.
  • Target-driven with a proven track record of achieving income objectives.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or qualified through experience (either fundraising or communications).
  • Leadership at a senior executive level with experience of managing relationships with key stakeholders, colleagues, and Trustees.
