Job Title: Domestic Support Staff

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Domestic Support Staff member at the Alnwick Medical Group in Alnwick, Northumberland. This is a permanent part-time position with 15 hours of work per week.

Salary: £8.50 - £10.00 per hour, depending on experience

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our clinic rooms, offices, and other areas within the practice. This will include disposing of clinical waste properly, adhering to guidelines and procedures, and ensuring the security of the building and its contents.

You will also be required to clean surfaces, equipment, and large areas, including carpeted and non-carpeted spaces. Additionally, you will need to operate machinery as needed and maintain storage areas.

Person Specification
  • Knowledge of COSHH and health and safety procedures applicable to domestic staff
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures
  • Sound knowledge of infection control policies
  • Previous experience working as a domestic staff member
  • Experience of lone working
  • Experience of working in areas responsible for patient confidentiality
