Caring Steps Ltd is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead our new Children's residential home in Wolverhampton, supporting 2 children/young people with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the day-to-day operations of the home, overseeing the staff team and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Create a nurturing environment, assigning key workers to each child/young person and ensuring their voice is heard in care plans.
- Manage admissions and discharges, ensuring smooth transitions and reflecting decisions in care plans.
- Provide care in line with care plans, risk assessments, and agreed objectives, promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Ensure Ofsted compliance, maintaining accurate records and securely storing them.
- Recruit, select, and retain staff as needed, supporting and inspiring the team through reflective practice and regular supervision.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including social care, health practitioners, and educational providers.
- Monitor progress and outcomes, ensuring effective finance budgets and safe staffing levels.
- Minimum Diploma Level 5 Leadership and Management of Residential Childcare.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in supervising and managing staff in a children's home setting.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Strong communication skills with children, young people, and adults.
- At least a 'Good' Ofsted inspection rating within the last 2 years.
- Full driving licence with access to a vehicle.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
