Exciting Opportunity for a Nurse and Educator

A rare and exceptional opportunity is available for a skilled Nurse and Educator to join the Northumbria Health & Care Academy team, working in partnership with Sunderland University. This role supports the Trainee Nursing Associate Programme.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead the learning and teaching of academic and clinical programmes delivered at the Northumbria Health and Care Academy.
  2. Enhance the reputation of the Northumbria Health and Care Academy and University of Sunderland as a centre of excellence by engaging with teaching, outreach, and research programmes in nursing and health-related topics.
  3. Model compassionate and inclusive leadership to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust, demonstrating a consistent leadership style that engages, enables, and empowers others, uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement, and facilitates team working and collaboration within teams/departments and across organisational boundaries.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Educated to degree level in Nursing or a related subject.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a related subject area (Masters study).
  • Higher Education teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE).
Desirable Qualifications
  • Higher Education Academy Fellowship status.
  • Professional Nursing Advocate.
  • Coaching and mentoring qualification.
