Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality, trauma-informed care to adults experiencing complex mental health difficulties.

Key duties will include triage, assessment, formulation, and care planning, as well as providing supervision and consultation to colleagues.

Opportunities for training and professional development will be available, including the chance to offer placements for trainees and contribute to local service developments.

About the Team

The South Northumberland Community Treatment Team is a dynamic and supportive team with bases in Cramlington and Blyth.

As part of the team, you will be part of a network of psychologists, psychological therapists, and mental health professionals working together to provide a range of therapies, including CBT, EMDR, and low-intensity interventions.

Person Specification
  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology.
  • Experience of working with adults experiencing complex mental health difficulties, including personality disorder and dual diagnosis.
  • Knowledge of research methodology, research design, and complex multivariable data analysis.
Requirements
  • Ability to communicate complex information effectively to clients, carers, and colleagues.
  • Experience of providing clinical supervision and training others.
  • Knowledge of legislation related to mental health and ability to work in different cultural contexts.
