Deliver Exceptional Commercial Results

Mitie is seeking a Commercial Manager to coordinate with support functions and contract roles to understand and deliver commercial solutions. This role will see the Commercial Manager at the forefront of identifying and managing legal, financial, and commercial risks and opportunities in collaboration with the contract team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Advise contract teams on contract terms, liabilities, payment mechanisms, KPIs, scope, and specification requirements to drive efficiencies and reduce scope creep.
  • Maintain risk and opportunity registers by account management teams and ensure clear action plans.
  • Support the management of risks and opportunities identified by account teams.
  • Provide support on contract variations and change orders, ensuring execution in accordance with contract requirements and internal policies.
  • Support the Operation Director and Contract Manager to keep core contract data up-to-date and accurate.
  • Prepare position papers and commercial reviews for escalations of major issues and risks.
  • Review contract documents to support variation documentation submission.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal systems and commercial processes.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in Commercial Contract Management.
  • Experience in Risk and Opportunity Management.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues through problem-solving and negotiations.
  • Experience in managing KPIs and Payment Mechanisms.
  • Understanding of key contract provisions critical for managing the contract risk profile.
