Job Title: Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk

Location: North Kent, United Kingdom

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth processing of invoices and payments, including:

  • Matching purchase orders to invoices and posting to the accounting ledger.
  • Assisting in query resolutions, including liaising with administrators/suppliers.
  • Performing weekly automated invoice matching runs.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports for local management teams.
  • Maintaining the finance inbox and taking action as required.
  • Completing supplier/subcontractor reconciliations on time.
  • Updating the monthly balance sheet reconciliations file as needed.
  • Providing financial analysis as required.
  • Assisting in internal/external audits as necessary.
  • Undertaking other ad-hoc finance tasks as directed by the Management Accountant.

Salary Estimate

The estimated salary for this role is £15-20 per hour, depending on experience.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Able to work quickly and accurately under own initiative.
  • A proven track record of meeting tight monthly deadlines in a busy environment.
  • A high level of understanding around financial processes.
  • Excellent data analysis skills and intermediate Excel skills.
  • The ability to communicate financial information to a non-finance audience.
  • Microsoft Navision/Dynamics experience would be an advantage but not essential.
