Accounts Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the purchase ledger, processing invoices and credit notes, and verifying their accuracy.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Purchase Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including invoices and credit notes.
  • Invoice and Credit Note Processing: Process invoices and credit notes through accounting software, ensuring daily entry of PLC invoices/credits.
  • Reconciliation and Analysis: Regularly reconcile supplier statements and analyse any discrepancies or queries.
  • Credit Card and Expense Management: Manage monthly company credit card statements and employee expense claims, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation.
Essential Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar Accounts role.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and office practices.
  • AAT or similar bookkeeping qualification.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with accounting systems; familiarity with Microsoft Navision is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with a practical approach to problem solving.
Salary Details:

The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
