Job Title: Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team, with a focus on civils and cabling activities on telecom infrastructure maintenance contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Commercial Manager in implementing commercial reporting systems and procedures to maximise commercial benefits of all responsible contracts.
  2. Responsible for assisting in the commercial functions of various work packages, including Design, Test & Commission, Materials, Telecoms, Electrification, Power, and Plant.
  3. Liaise with Project / Contracts Managers to collate information on the projects.
  4. Work package cost management, including forecasting, budget management, and control.
  5. Prepare internal and external commercial reports.
  6. Establish and maintain interfaces with key stakeholders.
  7. Manage costs of both direct labour, material, plant, and subcontractors.
  8. Estimate change / variations using various methods.
  9. Forecast costs and measure costs of completed work packages.
  10. Assist with the implementation of commercial strategies.
  11. Hold meetings with both Clients and Senior Circet Management to keep cost projections in line with program.
Requirements:
  1. Degree qualified or similar.
  2. Proven ability to run complex bids and multiple bids.
  3. Understanding of pricing, cost, and profit.
  4. Basic understanding of contracts.
  5. NEC3 experience.
  6. Excellent numerical and analytical skills, an ability to problem solve and make decisions.
