Industrial Maintenance Specialist with Mechanical and Electrical Expertise

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Intertape Polymer Group (IPG). As an integral part of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our machinery and equipment.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in the maintenance shop and machine-side work areas, adhering to all safety rules and participating in regular safety programs.
- Perform preventive and reactive maintenance activities on machinery and mechanical equipment, including troubleshooting, repairs, and fabricating repair parts as needed.
- Conduct condition monitoring activities to identify unacceptable wear and determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts, using various measuring instruments.
- Ensure the integrity and correct functioning of machine guarding, interlocks, and safety devices.
- Supervise and monitor routine preventive maintenance tasks by production operatives and prepare maintenance reports to analyze downtime information and trends.
- Manage equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, anticipating needs and expediting orders as required.
- Provide support for machine installations, including lifting, placement, leveling, and alignment, as well as connection of services such as power, air, and water.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Time-served maintenance technician with 5 years related industrial maintenance experience or equivalent.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Mechanical installation and fitting, including machines fixing in location, leveling, and alignment.
- Electrical installations and wiring, with practical familiarity with European and international standards.
- Practical knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical/electronic motion control systems.
- Experience with PLC systems, ability to interrogate, identify, and correct errors.
- Practical experience with industrial robotics, particularly FANUC SCARA robots and multi-axis palletizing robots.
- Web handling experience, with specific knowledge of tension measurement and control systems and devices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The salary range is based on industry standards and takes into account the level of expertise and responsibility associated with this role.
