Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Avery Healthcare. As a key member of our catering function, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation of meals, maintaining a clean environment, and adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve food in accordance with our menu plans and health and safety policies.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery and address any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety principles, including moving and handling techniques, fire safety, and COSHH assessments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a positive and flexible attitude towards work.
  • A DBS Disclosure check will be required, with the cost met by Avery Healthcare.

Estimated Salary: £21,000 - £23,000 per annum (dependent on experience), we offer a competitive salary, opportunities for career development, and a supportive working environment.
