We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant at Avery Healthcare. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the catering function, maintaining a clean environment, and adhering to health and safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of food preparation, health and safety principles, and customer service skills. They will also be able to work effectively in a team environment, with a positive and flexible attitude towards work.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the catering team in food preparation, including meal planning, ordering, and inventory management.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area, adhering to all relevant health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate excellent personal hygiene standards.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety principles, particularly moving and handling techniques, fire safety, and COSHH assessments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a positive and flexible attitude towards work.
  • A DBS Disclosure check will be required, with the cost met by Avery Healthcare.

Estimated Salary: £19,500 - £21,500 per annum (dependent on experience), we offer a competitive salary, opportunities for career development, and a supportive working environment.
