About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering function. Your focus will be on supporting the preparation of meals and maintaining a clean environment for the safe production of food and beverages.

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual who is committed to delivering high-quality services to our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the catering team in food preparation, including meal planning, ordering, and inventory management.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area, adhering to all relevant health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate excellent personal hygiene standards.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety principles, particularly moving and handling techniques, fire safety, and COSHH assessments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a positive and flexible attitude towards work.
  • A DBS Disclosure check will be required, with the cost met by Avery Healthcare.

Estimated Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 per annum (dependent on experience), we offer a competitive salary, opportunities for career development, and a supportive working environment.
