Job Title: Autism Support Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Specialist to join our team. As a Personal Assistant, you will work closely with a 26-year-old autistic male in Islington, London. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support and guidance to help him develop daily living skills, functional abilities, and independent living skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside another adult to provide 2:1 support
  • Engage the client in daily learning activities, focusing on functional and independent living skills
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive environment
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless support
  • Monitor and report progress on the care app

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, internet, and email
  • Proven experience working with individuals with autism (no beginners)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people
  • Flexibility to work varied hours
  • Enhanced DBS registration and right to work in the UK
  • Two professional references

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is £11,520 - £23,040 per annum, depending on experience, with hourly rates ranging from £8 to £16.

You will receive full training and approved overtime pay.
