Environmental Health Officer

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Health Practitioner to join our team at Belmont Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of the public by implementing and enforcing regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Health and Safety Policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing health and safety policies that align with the company's values and objectives.
- Conduct Inspections and Investigations. The candidate will conduct regular inspections and investigations to identify potential health and safety hazards and take corrective action to mitigate them.
- Enforce Regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing regulations and laws related to health and safety, including conducting prosecutions and preparing witness statements.
- Maintain Records and Statistics. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and statistics related to health and safety, including those stored in Northgate and other systems.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service to members of the public, businesses, and external organizations.
Requirements:
- Professional Qualification. The successful candidate must possess a professional qualification in Environmental Health, such as a degree or diploma, and be registered with EHORB.
- Membership of CIEH. Membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health is required.
- Regulatory Experience. The candidate must have experience working in a regulatory setting, including food hygiene and safety and/or health and safety.
- Customer Service Experience. The successful candidate must have experience dealing with members of the public, businesses, and external organizations delivering excellent customer service.
- Prosecution Experience. The candidate must have experience of undertaking prosecutions, including preparing witness statements and appearing in court.
