Job Summary:

We're seeking a skilled Visitor Experience Officer to join our team at Claremont, near Esher, Surrey. As a key member of our Surrey Landscapes Visitor Experience team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service to visitors, inspiring them to engage with our beautiful gardens and historic estate. Your main focus will be on devising and running events, creating interpretive displays, and bringing our place and stories to life for everyone who visits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and engage with visitors, providing a great service and inspiring them to get to know Claremont
• Devise and run events and activities to bring our place and stories to life
• Create interpretive displays and other ways of showcasing our history and culture
• Supervise and support volunteers, organising rotas and checking standards of presentation
• Help write content for our web pages and other marketing materials

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. You'll need to be comfortable with technology, including Microsoft Office and web and social media platforms. Experience in producing interpretive materials and marketing or promotional materials would be a bonus. We're also looking for someone who is familiar with health and safety procedures and who is a hard-working and committed team player.
