Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mission Planning System Developer to join our dynamic team at BAE Systems. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge capabilities for the Sceptre Mission Planning System.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop candidate requirements and generate system specifications against system capability route map objectives.
  2. Proactively engage with subject matter experts and Aircrew operators to review software specifications and design concepts.
  3. Lead product testing and identify resolution plans for identified technical issues.
  4. Support engineering activities leading to the qualification and certification of mission planning capability.
  5. Lead technical reviews with internal and external suppliers.
  6. Lead presentations and product demonstrations.
  7. Manage junior engineers to support their career development.

About You:

  • You must have a degree or equivalent engineering qualification alongside an engineering background.
  • You should have experience of taking design requirements and deriving requirements into tangible engineering solutions.
  • You should have experience of working with operators, subject matter experts, and engineers to resolve engineering problems.
  • Desirable Eurofighter Typhoon ground system and associated mission data knowledge would be highly desirable.
