Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and caring Childcare Support Assistant to provide support to an 8-year-old girl with autism. The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare and be able to provide one-to-one support during activities both indoors and outdoors.

The role involves supporting the child in staying active, prompting her to use the toilet, and helping her understand tasks given by her parents. You will need to be flexible as the day may change occasionally due to holidays or other unforeseen circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to the child during activities
  • Encourage the child to stay active and engaged
  • Prompt the child to use the toilet and help her with daily tasks
  • Communicate effectively with the child's parents to understand their needs and expectations

Requirements:

  • Experience in childcare or supporting children with autism
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Reliable and punctual
  • A full UK driving license and own car
