Residential Childcare Professional
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Residential Childcare Professional to join our team at Marshfields, an Ofsted registered Residential Children's Home in West Lynn. This is a rare opportunity to provide short breaks for children with disabilities, autism, and/or complex health needs aged 5 to 17 years.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership support and supervision to the team, striving for excellence through quality and consistency of practice.
- Mentor, model, and direct best practice to Children's Residential Practitioners to achieve the best possible outcomes for the children and young people.
- Work with children with a range of complex needs in a friendly and supportive environment.
- Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota and sleep in as required.
- Diploma in Social Work, CQSW, CSS, or appropriate nursing qualifications.
- Significant care experience, including at least one year post-qualification and specific experience of direct work with disabled children.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation pertaining to disabled children.
- Knowledge of child protection procedures, including Working Together.
- Knowledge and understanding of government policy in relation to residential childcare and services for disabled children.
£35,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience.
