About the Role:

The Brock Hub Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining a productive and supportive learning environment for students at Brockenhurst College. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the Brock Hub is a quiet and purposeful space, where students can focus on their studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Brock Hub users to maintain a quiet and purposeful atmosphere
  • Assist with administrative and clerical duties associated with the Brock Hub
  • Operate a loan counter service for staff and students
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including learners, parents, and HOCs
  • Maintain the Brock Hub stock and environment, including shelving, watering plants, filing, tidying, and book mending
  • Produce student bulletin slides and send to relevant staff
  • Undertake other duties commensurate with the grade of the post

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Experience dealing with members of the public
  • Up-to-date IT skills, including MS Office packages and Teams
  • Good administrative and organisational skills
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and exercise firmness and diplomacy
